Our Process
We’ve perfected our process so that our clients are informed, educated and excited throughout the whole project.
Briefing
This is the initial stage, where we will outline the core details of your brief and identify the site, scope, scale and budget of the project.
Our aim here is to completely understand your vision and overall goal of the project. We will look at different design concepts and ways to think about getting the most out of your space.
Preliminary design
When we are all clear on the direction of the project, I then get to work and start designing your project! I will stay in touch with you throughout this process, sending you 3d rendered images of certain area’s as we go.
When you are happy with how the project is looking, I will then send you the preliminary design plans. These consist of floor plans, elevations, cut-through sections, roof plan and site plan.
The preliminary plans, are usually enough for you to then start getting some industry feedback from builders or material suppliers to make sure the project will meet your budget requirements.
Documentation
Once the design concept has been finalised and approved by you, we then move on to the documentation phase.
I will convert the preliminary plans into the complete construction plans that will be submitted for energy efficiency assessment (NatHERS), council approval and also allow builders to quote the project in further detail and begin the building process.
Please note that some projects depending on their complexity, may require extra engineering design from a third party firm. I will assist you here if needed and liaise with the engineers on your behalf.
